Kenneth "KR" Requilman (Yohan) serves as a public health advocate and a servant leader committed to his purpose. He believes in the importance of education, knowledge, experience, and wisdom to serve purpose. Public health is an interdisciplinary field influenced by various aspects of our lives, including policies and institutions. One Health is an integrated approach that aims to balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and ecosystems. This approach recognizes that their health is interdependent, and collaboration across sectors and disciplines can address challenges such as infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and food safety. It requires cooperation between human, animal, and environmental health partners, along with relevant players like law enforcement, policymakers, agriculture, and communities.In 2015, KR received military training which helped him develop his leadership abilities, and he was later promoted to the rank of C1C/2nd Lieutenant. Since 2018, he has been involved with several organizations to expand his knowledge and skills, such as the Medical Technology Society's Legal and Legislative Executive Committee, and the Institute of Arts and Sciences Student Council's Parliament (IAS Parliament). He was also a member of the working committee for the national assembly of the Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students and the Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology and Public Health, and he held several positions in the Medical Technology Society's Legal and Grievances Committee at Far Eastern University Manila.In 2019, he became a national member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. During the Taal Volcano Eruption Operations in 2020, he worked for the Philippine Red Cross in logistics, and during the height of the pandemic in 2021, he served as a member of the Health Services' COVID-19 Pandemic Response Team in the Emergency Field Hospital at the Lung Center of the Philippines.During his final year of undergraduate studies, he served on the Executive Committee of the Institute of Health Sciences and Nursing Student Council for the Legal and Legislative Department.
